Eh yeah but I dunno man. HB and CU are cream of the crop, but the debut and Shore are pretty close. The debut nails the right aesthetic for these guys but is only memorable in spurts despite possessing loads of endearing character. Shore is like the exact opposite; a tad overproduced and sleek, very catchy, but is almost too slippery to grasp.

Really interesting to think about, Fleet Foxes are definitely one of my favorite bands but they're very much an album band for me, haven't given much to their best particular songs. Above is my attempt at a top ten ranking.

It's interesting how 'Jara' was born out of a Robin Pecknkld solo song. It's a great chord progression, to be fair.

Revisiting this one in preparation to see them live tonight, it definitely holds up. Stoked for the show!

better than crackhead agreed

Saw them live last week and they were unbelievably good, a lot more punch than on their records, a full-out horn section and, well, of course, they have that harmony thing down.

They were really great! Robin told us this show in Boston is the biggest, longest one cause it’s the only one of this tour where they would record with professional video.
The biggest surprise was Mearcstapa; one of my least favorite songs that they made a highlight by adding all these great instrumental sections.
Going-to-the-Sun Road was another highlight, they were joined by their great solo opening act Uwade for it. The Shrine/An Argument and Helplessness Blues were the other best ones.

Never seen them live but sounds wonderful. I've always wished that when bands add those sorts of extensions and flourishes live that they'd just made the songs like that to begin with.

Definitely catch them if you ever get a chance, I’m so glad I saw them! Only drawback was that the set I had was very Shore/self-titled heavy with only a few songs each from HB and Crack-Up, but those latter two are probably less crowd-pleasing/harder to reproduce live, so it makes sense.
