I think we can at least all agree on one thing here…

Scarlette Johansson is beautiful, Maya Hawk is beautiful, Margot Robbie is beautiful, women are beautifuL

finally jammed this and cant tell if i wanna slap a 2.5 or a 3 on it

it is a bit better than i expected, theres probably a solid ep here. these hooks are integrated so badly tho good god (and also are not good as is). no songwriting cohesion at all here

This completely grew on me, their best, this is the best their melodicism has ever been, and Doomswitch is even better

agreed about scarlett, but i'd say kirsten dunst beats the other two. she was so cute in "melancholia" with that depressed face haha

hard disagree about popular metal bands not becoming more popular because their chicks are attractive, that totally factors into shit and if you want to call noticing that "misogynist" that's your funeral. hot metalhead chicks already make waves, but the chicks in this band don't even look like metalheads, which broadens their mainstream appeal even more

plenty of bands where the chicks are pretty enough, but you can easily tell talent is their primary selling point, in other bands you just can't help but feel it's about their looks. I think there's one notable exception in She Must Burn's Valis, she's both very conventionally attractive and also got the musical chops, being a trained classical singer and pianist 'n shit. She does look like a goth chick and not a pop star tho, that's kinda the point - they're not trying to sell the music by dressing her up like an indie radio host lol

lets not have this conversation again...

ok the melodicism is just the tip of the iceberg with this album, every groove I find on here catchy as all hell, incredibly infectious shit

oh by the way, I also think the band Norther was as popular as it was partly because both guitarists were pretty boys. now I expect you to tell me it's misandrist of me to say that, although for some reason I doubt you're gonna do that haha

New song Epitaph dropped from these guys. Not super great but still better than everything off this.

I think all 3 of the new singles are better than just about everything on this record. Bones is the only track I really revisit

it's not bad! The flow from the bridge to the chorus always throws me out though
