isn't yelping like his primary form of vocal anyway lol, I think he kind of works it
the growls coming in on All Hands kicks ultimate ass you won't change my mind

My favourite protest the hero moment to this day, and pretty much the only one I remember vividly is
THE ROYAL TEEETH BUSTERRERR
(yes I know that's not the actual lyrics)

there's nothing funnier than running through their discog and the first two albums are all mystical and poetic and shit and then you get to
SO PUCKER UP THOSE PRETTY LIPS OF YOURS AND KISS MY ASS AND SHUT YOUR MOUTH
these guys are just something else lmao

I saw them play with fall of troy when I was just a wee lad and they put on a fun show too. Funny dudes.
Fall of troy was embarassing live tho

they seem mega chill in all the interviews and that I've seen. also I admire how they've always stuck to their guns politically, especially in the fucking metal scene which can't have been easy lol
looking back I don't know if TFOT were ever good or if FCPREMIX just blinded us all to how annoying Erak is. that song will always go tho
|
| |
Erak literally couldnt even play his own guitar parts. Many wtfs were had.
|
| |
1. Erak always recorded well beyond his live ability.
2. Fall of Troy has like three awesome releases, so they're not some one off.
3. "also I admire how they've always stuck to their guns politically, especially in the fucking metal scene which can't have been easy lol" - Lol, yes, the notoriously anti-left world in which they play must have been a real hurdle to overcome

@ghost but can u count to five?

>Lol, yes, the notoriously anti-left world in which they play must have been a real hurdle to overcome
smooth brain take
|

You guys are hilariously delusional.
|
| |
For thinking you might be able to count to five?

So many people dislike Rody's vocals. I must enjoy the sound of yelping or something. Maybe it's because I too am someone that talks very loud and proud. Rody sings like someone that begs to be heard.
|
| |
It might have taken some digestion but I dont think I ever disliked Rody's vocals back when I actively listened to this band (kezia and fortress eras). But it sounds even more over the top here than I remember them ever being.

To me it sounds like he's actually trying again. I've been listing to these dudes since Kezia and I can wholeheartedly say that I've enjoyed every release, but Volition and Pacific Myth are the two releases I rarely revisit. More so the latter, Volition had some great tracks.
|
| |
Word. I fell off with them after scurrilous so I havent heard either of those.

100% recommend giving Volition a whirl. Every track is solid, few are great. Animal Bones and Skies are my standout tracks.
|
| |
Might as well fill in the blanks
|
| |
As a fan of Kezia and Fortress, Volition did nothing for me, and this album is a real litmus test for Rody's new vocals

I'm going to get a warning from my apartment complex managers with the way im wailing "Once I built a railroad, I made it run". So much passion.
