Jules goes full Morissey when he sings the "dancing on a moonbeam.." lines. Favorite part in the track.

I feel like this sort of music has faded out of style, but this is just so well done and catchy. Feels like if this came out in the early 00s it would have exploded.

Agreed Sow, everytime I play one song off this people are like "wtf I don't know that one Strokes song". It's clearly not the most 2020 album but it does what it tries to do very well imo

This would be a classic if it came out after first impressions. Seems like a logical progression. First three and this are the only strokes you need.

I don't think people care enough about The Strokes for this one to be a classic

That's way too much pressure for a The Strokes album these days. Super cool, fun and delivering listen though.

It's probably their 3rd best album. Which is a huge feat for them nowadays.

Was very surprised at how good it is.

Yes, they just had to deliver the goods, and they did. What's more to ask?

Yeah, I think this is just a stellar gift for Strokes fans. Don't feel like it will bring too many new fans in though. I don't know. I could be wrong.

Julian Casablancas has REALLY improved his chops as a vocalist. He actually adds a lot of emotion and hyperbole to his voice, elevating everything.

The whole band has really upped their musicianship (well...except Fab who is a mediocre drummer). Even Nikolai decided to experiment a bit using bass chords. This is a really awesome record, but then again I'm a huge Strokes fan

It's a great album. A great pleasant surprise in a year of crap.
