I'm beginning to think this is dialed back to a fault, it neither fully embraces the hellish and chaotic dissonance of previous material, or their new found accessible leanings. It's not quite Deathspell, more like give-you-a-decent-beating-Spell before patching you back up again. In theory this should be a dream come true for me, but they've still not quite re-captured the magic found on 'Fas' - perhaps they never will.

It's holding onto the back end of my 'best of 2019' list, although it may be slipping slightly.

Is Ad Arma the most noob song they ever made? Because I like that one.

From Paracletus on they've really embraced modern hifi production techniques so the atmosphere is never going to be the same unless they go back

Don't say that. I've increasingly agreed with demon through the years.

I do like a lot this album...it just lacks the "OMFG WTF is this?" factor imo...but I heard there's something about the lyrics here. AD Arma though ... DsO going m/m/m/

please don't tell me that...I thought he was a 2017 newbie such as me: 10-02-17 and Demon 02-23-17.

Pretty much the only reason we like each other, maybe...

Well...It's never closed with these guys...and some experienced listeners defend it takes several listens for this one to starts clicking...so who knows...relistening as we speak, and no doubts my 4 holds.

Ad Arma! is easily one of my favorite 2019 tracks, the song's vibe is quite unique

"We will rip your mouth open and stuff you with Truth, like a goose." how dare they?

i think this is one of their more unassuming albums. good but not as good as the earlier albums. sounds like they went for a less punishing production and with this type of music, that's really the only way to go imo.
