There are moments here (vocally) that stop me in my tracks, but I wish it did more instrumentally (Dermatillomania notwithstanding). Every song kind of feels the same by the time I'm done. I enjoy the atmosphere a lot but it doesn't motivate me to return; I guess in that sense I prefer Wheel. Her voice is gorgeous though, that much is undeniable.

Dermatillomania is good but its easily the worst song on here imo.

Lay Back Arms Out is tops for me. The notes she hits in the latter half of that song are godly.

Sowing nailed it with “I wish this thing did more instrumentally.” Too many meandering arpeggiated guitars.

Such a good album, her voice is so beautiful, and despite stripped back instrumentation (which is still perfectly fine tbh), her voice adds so many layers to a lot of the tracks.

The instrumentation is great, losers.
That delicate, subtle sound is exactly what makes it good. And all of the little additions really flesh out the sound. It sounds sparse sometimes, yes, and that works for this album, but theres plenty of earcatching instrumentation here, you just need to pay a little more attention.

I don't get it.
Also I'm annoyed by the voice, even though it's a female voice. This rarely happens.
But I do respect the staff actually following their own taste rather than pandering to the average sputnik user and choosing the highest rated album of the year or sth. Even though that would have been a way better choice in this case.
