dont be so hard on yourself

I still have hopes this band might eventually follow the path Soilwork took, u-turn away from the more "mainstream" friendly sound, and release some absolute banger albums. But definitely not holding my breath.

A bit worse than Battles and it took me quite some while to get into this one because at first it sounded goddamn bleak and vapid. In the end it turned out most of the songs are still quite catchy and enjoyable, although I don't know why they had to bury the synths so deep, definitely not the smartest idea.

seeing these guys live soon. i hope their setlist is good

Post melodeath days of In Flames are just unbearable for me not for the bland music or the obvious change of style but for the absolutely bad vocals of Friden. I cannot listen to that voice, it's like... oh f.. it, i just don't like it.

Pretty sure their setlists are awful nowadays and have been for several years now
Through Oblivion might have the single most terrible vocal performance of all time

"A bit worse than Battles"
haha no, thats by far their worst studio album.

"I cannot listen to that voice, it's like... oh f.. it, i just don't like it."
the most unbearable thing for me are the lyrics by far
btw 11 months after this was released and this is our house is absolutely still the worst song i've heard all year

well, just got tickets to see them in Worcester but it's really to catch my dudes in one of the local openers. hopefully In Flames doesn't completely suck.

They play couple of old tracks on this tour

they are still a rockin live band in my experience. the newer songs lend themselves better to the live setting than songs from their first or second phase. At least if you are able to enjoy them for the simple but fun songs they are. in flames really just focussed on delivering a good live experience with their songs while the appeal of their output suffered on studio releases.

sweet. I know jester race througn clayman but haven't really checked in with the rest so hopefully they break out something from that run

Reroute to remain and soundtrack to your escape are widely considered their best
Nah but Cloud connected basically got me into metal so

they're playing cloud connected, only for the weak, behind space, colony, and the hive. going to have to get tix just so i can see behind space and colony live

Whoa they actually got behind space back in the setlist? It's been ages since they played that one. That's pretty respectful actually
