I'm not even that big of an indie fan, but this album was great.

i think something can be inspired, and mean a lot to the creator and to some people, but boring to certain other people who don't get anything from that style/feeling.

which is probably what they meant

After listening to this for a bit and letting it grow on me, I agree with most here that it's incredible! I can't help but think that Aaron Marsh loved the recent Bon Iver. Some of the electronic reparts remind me of that.

I'll admit I found this a bit boring the first time around but I'll give it another go.

Nice, neek!

After a few weeks digesting this, I'd rank the tracks as follows:

1. Colorless 5/5 - Perfect instrumentals, lyrics, guitar solo, atmosphere, everything just everything is so perfect and beautiful

2. Strange Flower 5/5 - dat second half

3. Skywriter 5/5 - all about the lyrics

4. Pope 5/5 - stunning vocal performance

5. As Above, So Alone 5/5 - gorgeous keyboards/pianos

6. On Your Worst Day 4.5/5 - cute song in general

7. Waltz on Water 4/5 - kinda underrated, has some heartbreaking lyrics

8. Lay Here - 4/5 - grew off me, still love the kissing rhythms part

9. Suddenly 4/5 - those saxaphones prevent it from being boring

10. Night Figures - 4/5 not a huge fan of the vocal effects but still a good song

11. It Felt So Real - 4/5 - for a spoken track this is still amazing

project I want you to dim the lights and listen to 'Colorless' at a relatively loud volume while really listening to the lyrics

if you can keep this album at a 3.5 afterwards then I'll never bother you about it again
