I think what I've found with Haken is the music can be a bit sterile and too calculated at times. They'd benefit from a bit of "imperfection"

Listening the this for the first time with Virus following on after it. Nil by mouth goes in hard at the start there damn

Nil By Mouth still sounds more like a compilation of some really cool ideas than an actual song to me, but it's a great track nevertheless. I genuinely feel like this album missed out on a bit of it's potential due to it's inconsistency - with the exception of 'Veil'. That one is a standout.
