I love that they haven't felt the need to release half the album before its release. Two songs is a perfect amount.

I’m thinking probably not — although if I do remember correctly it looked like there was an actual music video that was filmed. THat MIGHT be a new single or it might just be a proper video for one of the two already out

Sowing 5'd it. "Easily the weirdest, most experimental thing this band has ever done."

as someone whose favorite mwY album is It's All Crazy, this almost definitely means it'll be my AOTY

Combine this E.P., Rainbow Signs and the atmospheric and slightly droney sound of CFUTF and you get the new album

butt.

but none of those elements are heavy and they keep saying this is like their heaviest/craziest since A-->B?

I get the feeling that the 'heavy' descriptor may be.... misleading.

It does, yeah, but I'd be surprised if there's anything that heavy on the new album. I'm guessing (based on literally nothing) that there are more harsh vocals than usual, but that its not really heavy instrumentally. Aggressive =/= heavy, but the terms seem to be interchangeable when indie/alt rock bands talk about their sound.

this isn't what ya'll think it's gonna be but it's still great

I don't even really want a scream-a-thon either, tbh. I'm just always weary when people describe an upcoming album as heavy when the band has (imo) never really been a heavy band.

Rainbow Signs is very heavy
Also dbizzles it's the exact opposite; less screaming than you may expect (but still a lot and god it's vicious) but it's more instrumentally heavy/sludgy
It also has easily their heaviest/most chaotic song ever

I've played "Julia" more times than I've listened to this ep, gotta consider reevaluating my rating of this lol. Prob settle at a 4

I want to believe : )

Also, this is the hardest 4.5 EP I've ever heard. Almost a 5, imo. It is brief and concise but very emotionally gripping.

I think I initially considered it heavier than it actually is because it is very very thematically heavy and emotionally ugly, there's quite a few songs that would fit on here or CFUTF

I don't like this as much as others unfortunately, I think it's a little inconsistent
