I know there’s basically no chance they match this quality but fuuuuuck I can’t help it. I’m so god damned hyped for Friday.

Honestly if there’s even one track that bangs as hard as Death is Real I’ll consider it a success

Hearing "MORE?" (can't tell if the song is actually going to be an instrumental or if the version released is just an instrumental playthrough) makes me a little more optimistic for this album. It sounds like it'd be right at home on Monarchy.

this album actively sucks ass and i never got the praise, the production is so sterile and the music is so bland and uninteresting

Damn, that's a throwback! Great album, and probably one of the first avant-garde metal records I'd heard

hard for me to think of the first i heard, either the linear scaffold from solefald or la masquerade infernale from arcturus, both around the same time

"Chug wank chug wank but this time with tissue paper jazzzz"

Pretty much, lol. Honestly, the saxophone on this album is so gimmicky, and it doesn't make a boring pseudo-prog chugfest any less boring

In my opinion, at least
