Yup totally stupid, when 3 of their most recent records are concept albums, including this one...

This albums pretty good, jammed it all day. Not sure what I'm gonna give it yet. I've been listening to them for like 13 years and while I still enjoy most of their material it seems like every time they tweak their sound they just do the exact same thing for a few albums then tweak it again. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but it takes away from being blown away by an album.

oh and by the way Seth Putnam is the greatest lyricist of all time and also the greatest knee drummer of all time.

just because it's a concept album doesn't mean it has good lyrics.

That's fair, it has a great concept though, which isn't new for these guys. I've enjoyed diving into the lyrics and trying to piece things together and become immersed in the album's story.

jfc 24 pages already. I'm enjoying this, but just like the last one I don't walk away from it looking forward to the next time I hear it. Colors ruined music in general for me when it came out, but subsequent btbam albums haven't captivated me the same way. A few songs here and there, maybe.

Colors didn't ruin music for me but it sure as hell ruined the band for me from then on out.

I think some songs are on the level though. Disease...Injury, Madness and Telos are some of their best work imo.

I agree. Telos especially is my favorite song from them post-Colors.

This grew on me. Used to be a soft 4, now a really solid 4 asking for 4.5.

I listened to this album four times through on the weekend and even at 35 minutes I found it hard give af about a lot of it. Really just the first and last songs grab me. Maybe "Millions" will grow on me, but even with that song it all just sounds so basic.

its hard to give af about it, but you dig the new elder album? come on, that one was a snoozefest. Lore was infinitely better. and on here, yellow eyes is a total jam
