If Hex didn't have Pendulum Man, this would maybe have an edge over it. But it does. And that song is one of the GOATs and Hex is just as atmospheric but slightly better paced. So.

My bet is the average here swings a bit low because of older ratings before this had something of a critical reappraisal. I’m sure if you could view rating trends here like on RYM you’d be able to see the increase.

But Pendulum Man is the weakest masterpiece on Hex.

Mmmaybe + dreampop and gaze weren't as popular on older sput iirc. or decent post-rock, but that's largely still the case
although I swear it used to have a higher avg, or that just me?
