Most people in our currently polarized world, mainly due to extreme rhetoric on social media as well as misinformation, are incapable of holding two thoughts/truths at the same time. You can be hyper critical of the IDF and bibi for reckless actions taken during the war but also understand the need to go to war in the first place (to eliminate Hamas after Oct 7). You can deem the killing of 3% of the Gazan population as being unacceptable but also understand this number would be much lower if not for Hamas' actions (preventing Israeli food and aid from entering, preventing displacement after Israeli warnings, building their military infrastructure under schools hospitals and shopping centers etc..). You can deem the killing of 3% of the Gazan population as being unacceptable but also understand that the targeted enemy welcomes martyrdom to themselves and their people and wish all Jews be wiped off the map. You can deem the killing of 3% of the Gazan population as being unacceptable but not need to change the definition of a word to describe it.

Have some nuance. Read some history. Accept that there aren't black and white answers to very complex situations/histories. Hate the IDF and bibi. Hate Hamas and Hezbollah. Hold them all to account.
