I like the album a lot, but Usher doesn't really do much for me either. It's my least favorite on the album, though I do like the character it introduces

Don't particular understand the comments on how smoothly this album transitions song to song, most of the tracks stop and just link themselves together with hackneyed add on ambient samples or filler muzak.

Most of the songs themselves are pretty cool at least. Not particularly memorable but nice little jams.

The last 8 songs from The Haves Have Naught -> A Beginning is a perfect run of tracks. If anything, this is the most consistent record I think they've put out.

^Read this earlier. Makes me hope Act VI is something like a film or musical encompassing all five previous acts.

I'll need more time to make sure, but so far this is my favorite Act by a mile. I'll go back and relisten to their other albums, but damn this is just so fantastic. Definitely a top 10 album at least. The second half is pretty much perfect to me.

Cascade is quite a pleasant tune.

This album's better than Act 2 tbh but I agree that Mr Usher is a weak point I guess.

Only just realized that the vocal melodies at the end of Moon and A Beginning are the same, with similar lyrics.

Those ratings... now I feel like I'm missing out on this band hard. Will see 'em live next week, perhaps I will become a fan then.
