Idk what the problem with the production is, it sounds fine to me.

Loudness War dynamics piss me off but I didn't mind it completely here. I mean even the bass guitar is clearly audible a lot of the time so I personally give it a light-hearted pass. May bump down by .5 because it annoys me that the final track fades out

AAL sounded better and more "full" but this album literally sounds like a fist to my dick. It's a pure wall of anger, and everything is audible. There's no need for production flair because nails doesn't need it. There's almost no dynamics in their music anyway.

Basically, the band wants you to think that they're raw, angry, and chaotic,

But almost everything about the production indicates the opposite of those things.

I like this one, but the new Magrudergrind's production is so meh. This at least sounds brutal.

But it doesn't have that authentic feel when you try to convey feelings like "I don't give a fuck" and put out an album that has such a polished production as this one.

kurt ballou's production has worked well with tons of bands but when the riffs are this dime a dozen what's the point in everything being crystal clear? not to mention those vocals being up front and so monotone

good point sniff, but honestly I still disagree with it. I don't think they're trying to prove they don't care, I think they're trying to prove the opposite. They want to be known as that band with monster tones and chunky huge punk songs. Like, when the double bass kicks in on some parts of the album, it's like I'm going downhill on a roller coaster. Everything sounds very exciting.

The meme garbage this album has spawned is arguably better than the record itself just saying
