It's pretty sick. Check Reservoir, Mabu or Back Against the Wall, my fave tracks off it.

the only bad thing about PUP is that it gave me hope of finding other above average pop punk bands.
There are not.

These guys nail good songwriting while keeping fun, pop vibes.

I pretty much dislike all pop punk so this getting a 3 is a massive deal, this has some bollocks and conviction and the arrangement surprise without landing in the dreaded sput-approved gimmicky genre clash territory. Not bad at all.

there's a fire in this that seems missing in 99.99% of all other pop punk (and 75% of all the other "serious" punk and hardcore) I've listened to in my life.

I'm not sure I'd even consider this to be pop punk, I mean they've got more in common with The Hold Steady

Con I will listen to this again, then I'll work out my favourite couple of tracks and download those, then after playing them through 20 or so times over a few weeks I'll get back to this rating and see if I can bump it.
There's something good going on here.

I know this is ridiculous, but I am quite frequently pissed off by the fact that 'Sleep in the Heat' is track 4.
After all, it's basically a sequel to 'Mabu' from the debut, which was track 3. It's about his Chameleon, Norman, who he got on the set of the 'Mabu' video, which is referenced in the song.
So basically, 'Sleep in the Heat' should be track 3, and be called 'Norman' to keep up the naming convention. Not to mention that it's more of a killer song than 'Doubts'.
Er, so yeah. BTW their live show is insanely good.

Seriously considering 5ing this. I've only 5ed one album this year, but man, this is making a good case for it the more I listen.
