"definitely not lyrically, but they are of a similarly subdued nature, not even close to how frenetic Burn the Witch or Ful Stop or even Identikit is"
yeah but what does any of that have to do with being 'blissed out'? dont see it at all tbh.

idk All I Need is one of my favourite Radiohead songs but it struck me as more of a character exploration thing, Thom going down the whole "let's write as if I was a stalker" route, which is fine but TLW is just 100% Thom layin' out his soul and I love it
I guess if you mean quiet, Poly, I can understand your point but blissed-out is definitely not the same thing

poor choice of words I suppose
meant to say that they're all on the quieter side, which seems to be a problem for a few people

as in that means the songs don't differentiate themselves, which I definitely think they do
|
| |
being quiet in their own right isnt the problem. its the way they are presented together that is ineffective.

in that case, agreed. although I would have much preferred if the closing trio was Daydreaming -> Tinker Tailor -> TLW

Am I the only one who has no issue with the track order? I've actually tried various layouts in my library and I still like their bland, alphabetical organization the best.

youre probably not the only one but definitely one of the few.
having daydreaming second is just so ugh why

I guess I'm in the minority for liking the flow / order of this thing
one change I'd probably make is swapping Burn The Witch and Ful Stop
|
| |
id just take burn the witch off entirely tbqh
not in the sense that i think its so bad that i dont think it deserves to exist
i dont love it but i dont think its that bad
but i just dont think it has any place here whatsoever

BTW definitely needed a standalone single release like Spectre last year, has no business being on this album let alone opening it
Really wish we got Cut a Hole

I don't see how having Daydreaming second is too different from Kid A being second on its tracklist, or Pyramid Song being the same

Burn The Witch is definitely an outlier. I guess I still like it here just for the fact that it brings something with some more urgency/rhythm, even if it's gotten out of the way immediately.
I'm a fan of the current order, but my second favorite would be something I toyed around with:
1. Glass Eyes
2. The Numbers
3. Burn The Witch
4. Identikit
5. Decks Dark
6. Desert Island Disk
7. Ful Stop
8. Present Tense
9. Tinker Tailor Soldier
10. Daydreaming
11. True Love Waits
Just has a nice flow to it.

are you kidding Everything In Its Right Place into Kid A is absolutely haunting and so is Packt into Pyramid song.
the dynamic shift between those two pairs is like a -2 skip on the richter scale. btw to daydreaming doesn't even fucking exist on the same scale. its like following up a Foster the People song with a Boards of Canada song.

daydreaming doesn't work second because it's after burn the witch and that track is just generally intrusive to the album flow

"Really wish we got Cut a Hole" [2]
I also think These Are My Twisted Words deserves a spot on an album, but here probably wouldn't have suited. Very similar verses vocally to The Numbers, just faster

these are my twisted words should have been on king of limbs obv
