Maybe it's just coincidental but sweet lord are so many metal and rock bands losing their members young, iirc Brett Hinds passed only two weeks ago now

What a bummer that Erik is gone, much too soon. I remember hearing "Gin" for the first time over a decade ago and not understanding what I was hearing, only to come back to it about a year ago and have it click into place. This album is fantastic. I always hoped that Erik would do more with Cobalt in the future when he had time.
