Also, I assume that university classes and/or exams are usually during the day while concerts happen at night, just like everywhere else in the world. What kind of excuse is that?

I had a lecture at 9 AM the next morning (on top of deadlines for coursework etc) and also no one to go with (both of which were things that don’t phase me now, but did four years ago). And university does sometimes have classes/lectures in the evenings. In my second year, my 3D animation lectures and labs were something stupid like 7 until 9 in the evening, and my first year also had sessions that finished relatively late.
As for Enter Shikari, I ended up going to that show because my friend pestered me to go with her as she didn’t want to go on her own, and the Fightstar show hadn’t been announced at that stage. If given the choice, I would have picked Fightstar, but alas. I’m more pissed about my old manager giving me less than a weeks notice to tell me that I had work that night in spite of me saying at my interview that I could only work mornings. If it wasn’t literally my first day, I probably would have spoken to her about it, but I wanted to make a good impression as at the time, I was only there as a Christmas temp.

Wow this has really held up since it was released. I can jam this straight through and not lose focus or interest. Such an incredible album. And I forgot how amazing Dive is. Such a beautiful track.

i remember liking Grand Unification but not even close to as much as this. this album is like the perfect balance between melodic and hardcore and i need more of it
