I don't see how this being accessible is something bad so yeah, and listening to a lot of black metal isn't going to change the quality of this...

I used to think Deafheaven was the shit.
Then I listened to other black metal bands.
Now, they're just okay.
This is still great, mainly because it seems be trying a lot less hard than Sunbather.

diadem is one of the hardest riffing albums ever. hunters is probably their most focused album though since it feels like everything runs together nicely. i actually love all their stuff. big fan.

Two Hunters is the most concise and streamlined but Diadem has riffs, doomy sections, and is the most expansive while still having a beautiful atmosphere
