Bought rocksound today for the first time in about 2 years, they gave this a 10/10
They also bummed out anything released by a biggish band (apparentely five finger death punch areone of the best bands in metal lol) which is sad, i remember them having some integrity

Because the bands fanbase is predominantly members of the readership, that's why they give it big scores. Would you be likely to buy a mag that trashed your favourite band every week? Also they're a big band in the scene, the magazines gain a lot of revenue from ads for their merch and stuff like that. Doesn't surprise me much, Rock Sound gave that new Fall Out Boy album 7/10 as well iirc. Hardly a reputable mag.
