ugh, this is fine, but it just sounds like 3rd tier post rock/metal. rating is way too high on this website.

Actually the fact that the average is basically holding considering the people that frequent this place I'm very impressed and a bit surprised. If it can hold like this on sputnik it's probably pretty good.

"people love to give boring music high ratings here"
I mean other than the fact that it's entirely one's opinion what's boring and what's not, that's a pretty wide blanketing statement that you probably can't really back up at all.

You just got done saying that since the rating on this site was high for this album that it means it's pretty great. Now you're trying to tell me about opinions. It's cool that you like an album bruh but don't get on me for not liking it

Actually I said it's "probably pretty good" because sputnikers are on average notoriously picky/critical.

Dbl post.

Even if that's true that means nothing. An album doesn't just become objectively good because sputnik or pitchfork likes it. It's all up to the listener to decide, and in this situation I find this album to be just okay and kinda overrated

Holy shit this album.
I love long songs, and had a very hard time finding some longer post-rock songs, because the longer the song, the better it is (USUALLY).
I was wondering through Worldhaspostrock's youtube page and clicked on this, thinking it was going to be another slightly above average post-rock album, also the title made me click on it.
The first thing I do before I listen to an album is see the songs/lengths. When I saw this album's, I said "Oh yeah m8, gotta do this."
I expected it to be pretty good.
My expectations were absolutely destroyed
I love post-rock, but I don't think I've come accross a 10/10 or 5/5 post-rock album yet. Slow Riot is an EASY 5/5, but thats an EP.
This album is like Slow Riot extended out to an hour and 7 minutes.
Each song is extremely powerful and poetic in it's own right.
And Challenger(The whole damn thing) may be my favorite song of all time, challengering (ha puns) Slow Riot.
2015 has two 10/10 albums IMO: Carrie and Lowell and this.
Could be fav album all time, IDK yet.
