The ultimate symphonic black metal band. None of their albums deserve a score below 4.

I'd argue none deserve more than a 3.5, but I'll go along with it, alright.

They got lost after Welkin. Norwegian BM bands had to experiment, it was a seemingly obligatory step in the movement.

I really enjoyed IX Equilibrium and Prometheus though. Both albums are very good. It would've been impossible for them to top the legendary Nightside, but all of their latter albums were still incredibly unique and well thought out.

The most evil behemoth I've ever come across with. The atmosphere is way too malicious but I absolutely fucking love it. Hatred, grief, and Satan rush through my thoughts with every note. Hardest 5 ever, and certainly top 3 metal ever, too.

"blood, and gore "

Are we listening to the same album? Sounds like a slam or goregrind album

Well, not quite gore (I'll give you that) but there's plenty of blood.
