This and In the Nightside Eclipse always switch between first and second for me with Don't Break the Oath rounding out the top 3, ugh so hard to choose between them.

This album is the GOAT even with terrible guitar solos so imagine how good it would be if the guitar solos were good

Revisiting this now after way too long. The atmosphere on this album is perfect. It always makes me think of sitting on the porch of a wooden cabin high up on a snow covered mountain surrounded by fir trees. The soft winter breeze gently biting at the skin. The sky a crystaline blue blending with the blood orange streaks from the rising sun just beyond the horizon.
