You're very very bad with misinterpreting things.

I never said that people who analyze movies will all like/dislike something, and I never said that people that don't will have the opposite opinion. In fact, I didn't even imply it. Plenty of people who view films critically praised this one, and I'm not trying to discredit their opinion, all I stated was that I do read into films (sometimes too much, as I implicitly acknowledged), but I didn't enjoy this one in particular, and I feel I gave clear reasons why.

Actually, how in the hell did you get that from what I said?

makes me wonder if i am biased and not being critical of the film enough because a) always been interested in space b) i like nolan a lot c) i love a good accompanying score and when it is used well

meaning i wonder if i don't criticize the plot hard enough because of all the other things i enjoy

whatever

See, it sucks because I thought Gravity was fantastic, and I liked The Dark Knight/Inception, but this film just really rubbed me the wrong way when I actually wanted to enjoy it. I'm trying to possibly get into reviewing film, if that provides any context, but many of the reviewers I read are MUCH more meticulous than I am, so I guess I'm trying to get my critical mind working harder, in a sense. Haha

movie was better in the second viewing, though it is nicer to watch it from a much bigger screen

It's because you were high, chinese.

If anything, that should've made me enjoy it. Just being high isn't going to cause me to have numerous, deeply rooted problems with the film.

I was mostly kidding. but you know. take me seriously if that's more fun.

By mostly I mean when im high and watching movies, I overanalyze down to the Nth degree.

Well you did bring it up twice, haha

I tend to focus more on the visual and emotional aspects of film when I'm high, for whatever reason. Like I go into poetry mode or something

i honestly feel like it just went over your head, your whole post considered

uh huh

Yeah, but then you have the whole idea of 'gravity transcending everything'

change the other crap associated with it, too, obviously. Wormhole appears in space. Omg did aliens send it to us??? Nobody knows. Is Leonardo DiCaprio still asleep at the end of Inception? The intrigue is what makes it interesting.

Both movies explained those though, well Interstellar definitely did.

yeah but if you removed the silly "time travel paradox thingymawatsit" ending, it could've just ended without explaining how the wormhole got there which would've been fine.

not really, considering that they refer that "they" created the wormhole and that's questioned throughout the movie

Yeah most of the mysteries of the movie hinged on that, especially the subtleties of those first scenes that rely on him communicating with his daughter

for fuck's sake I mean if you redid the film and got rid of that stupid shit then it would've been better. Not just cut those scenes asdfjkl;asdjfklsd
