I started gettimg used to the band with songs from California, I think, but may have went chronologically with the albums.

California may be the most accessible, but the evolution from the first to the second to the final album is something I beheld in order and I'm glad I did

I believe chronological is the way to go. When I got their S/T I was like "oh this is weird but I can dig it". Then I listened to Disco Violante and I was blown away by how inaccessible it was. California is a breath of fresh air. Super easy to listen to compared to Disco although weird enough.
