There are but they don't really do enough to fix it. I'm just sitting here waiting for SkyWind cuz I can't play the OG for sheeit

Oblivion remastered is not mod-friendly, so it won't compete with Skyblivion, which is a bonus. How long until Skywind is released?

The real joy of Morrowind is in the writing, not the combat. Hitchance isn’t as bad as people make it out to be though.

why do you say not modder friendly? there are already 100 mods for it on nexus and it's been out for like 16 hours

The environments are pretty solid but the characters still have a major uncanny valley effect going on that look pretty bad when you contrast it. I would not like ES6 to look like this.

how does the game feel to play though? worth it for someone who never played the original?

Its ok, it's one par with a lot of the modern arpgs but nothing much farther from that. Ps5 apparently has a lot of issues with the game so if you're on pc I'd just recommend grabbing the og since it's way cheaper and has more mods.

"why do you say not modder friendly?"

First Elder Scrolls game that isn't multiplayer to openly not officially support mods. They're not against people using them, but they're not officially supported - https://kotaku.com/oblivion-remastered-bethesda-mods-not-supported-pc-xbox-1851777334

huh, well i wouldnt overly worry about it, evidently the creation engine modding tools for oblivion work the same for the remastered, just references have new IDs and theres no script extender yet. people have in some cases been successfully using oblivion mods in the remaster

my guess is the "not officially supported" thing comes from the game being from a different studio

I started the remastered yesterday, music hit hard, nostalgia tsunami right there but they really had to stamp a dot in the middle of the screen with no option to disable it? C'mon Virtuous.

I used to get home stoned out of my body and create a new character with a whole back lore in my head then play the tutorial and fall asleep.

This cycle would repeat for like a year.

They truly were the "Wings of Kynareth" I was on while playing this game. The music is a masterwork.

Loved this game when I was younger but I will say as I play the remake, it really feels immersion breaking when the “cities” are like 10 NPCs and then there’s just like thousands of bandits in the wilderness and forts.

I really feel like adding some generic, non-unique NPCs to the cities would have gone a long way in terms of immersion.
