Rody is really hit and miss with his lyrics, but I can't say that I've ever listened to any band for their lyrics. If they're good, sure, it's a nice bonus, but the music and the vocal performance itself is what matters, to a point anyway.

Dammit Fear, Underbite probably has the best lyrics on the album, it's so fucking sarcastic and bitingly cynical.



But for the more serious side, Plato's Tripartite is pretty well-written.

man i didnt give a fuck about scurr and haven't listened to PTH seriously since like 2010, heard the new song and i was skeptical cause scurr was totally forgettable, but clarity fucking punched me in the face, fucking awesome release.

Fortress still blows me away whenever I spin it. I love this album but the sound they had on Fortress was just so perfect. It had a few silly moments that didn't work but I think it will always be my favorite PtH album.
