This album just gets better and better with every listen. Don't Hate Me is bliss.

Although I appreciate Lightbulb Sun's more experimental nature as well, this album's stunningly focused songwriting makes it PT's most heartfelt and genuinely touching release, in my opinion.

Yea it's definitely more focused and consistent. Plus that cover rules so hard.

funny im the opposite. I care less and less about this and the album that is constantly growing on me is actually the Incident lol

The Incident is a great album, I just feel most of the ideas that compose it were not fleshed out and don't really reach their undeniable potential. I haven't listened to it as much as other PT albums though - it's possible that it could grow on me too eventually.

I get what you mean. I feel that way completely about Great Expectations as I think that's pretty incredible on its own. But even Your Unpleasant Family is sounding pretty good to me now, especially that solo. If disc 1 were stand alone, i'd probably give it a 4.5

I'm loving songs like Great Expectations and Your Unpleasant Family, even as isolated, individual tracks - and that's the problem for me: most parts of the suite are excellent songs when you take them apart from each other, but the whole they form doesn't feel united and purposeful.
Even then, it could have been interesting, to form a whole with so diverse parts, but I don't know, it just lacks something to me. But again, that's just my opinion

In Absentia gives Stupid Dream a run for its money, but SD really takes it for me as the best Porcupine Tree record. Deadwing is overrated af, though.

"Deadwing is overrated af, though."
That I can certainly agree with.

Stupid Dream is an excellent psychedelic progressive rock album that features some of Porcupine Tree’s best works. Porcupine Tree are one of the best progressive bands in our days.

This Is No Rehearsal and Stranger By The Minute are underappreciated.
