canine sounds like a drowning pool song
but yeah, bad ass album though, they bring the ambience like nobody's business, didn't think they'd pull off something like this, very pleasantly surprised

I'm over 40 listens at this point and I can't keep count anymore. It'll be one of those albums I'll end up listening to over a hundred times in my life.

I know, I know. Can't make myself like it though. It's just not appealing to me. I have given it multiple listens and it hasn't been a "grower" like I have seen multiple people post. There are a few songs I like that I will probably keep coming back to, but not the rest of the album.

Sal good ecnal what songs do u like? Honestly I never even thought of myself as a senses fail fanboy but ever since still searching grew on me the way it did I can really relate to this band lyrically and I enjoy this album because the lyrics are the most positive he's ever done. The change in buddy's outlook on this album compared to their last album (the fire) is insane.

I like both the songs the released before the album came out and Snake Bite.
My main gripe here is the music itself. This is probably one of Buddy's better vocal performances on a SF album, especially the cleans, but the guitars don't seem very active. They just don't do much to differentiate from each other (especially in the heavier sections). It's just not that interesting in most places musically and a lot of the clean choruses seem very samey.
Haven't paid much attention to the lyrics, but if I can't get into the music, I don't really see the point of reading into them.

right on I'm surprised u didn't mention the album closer that song just gets me every time lol. What's your favorite senses fail album then? I'll admit some of the excitement for this album has worn off it's more like a 4.5 for me but I haven't felt like lowering my score ;) my favorite album by them is still searching I'd say then this and the fire

I don't know. The highest rating I have been able to give them is a 3.5.
I really like SS, but I absolutely can't stand tracks 8 and 9. Waiting Room has some of my favorite SF tracks, but the rest doesn't quite stand up with the highlights, and The Fire is consistent all the way through, but doesn't really have any stand out tracks to me.

lifeboats! But yeah I think I tend to focus on lyrics a lot may be why I like them more ;)

Ha ha, every song on Fire is good. I might be able to give an edge to Coward. It's probably my favorite.
Yeah, I could see how that would influence how much you like these guys. I am more of a music first, then lyrics kind of person if some lines catch my ear. I rarely sit down with lyrics and just listen to a song while I read along.

This album is awesome! But I think I'm the only one who feels the lyrics are a downgrade to pass albums. Not the lyrical subject but how buddy writes them, I don't know it seems none of the songs are such lyrical juggernauts like past albums. Still good just not as amazing! Just my opinion.
