Listening to this after a non stop addiction for 2 weeks is just amazing.

This is really fucking awesome. It shreds on everything of theirs apart from feels.

album is sucking harder than usual today

may not be that much different, but it's infinitely lazier

album basically took everything i barely disliked about merriweather, turned it 30x more poppy and threw way too many layers into songs where they were unnecessary. transitions (other than the first one on moonjock) are disgusting.. just feels like an extremely soul-less animal collective album, and that's what i loved them the most for initially.

Woah Ethics, saw you gave basically every other album of theirs a 5, surprised to see you dislike this so much. I'm a massive AnCo fan too, and I think this record is great. Definitely don't think it's their best, just feels like every album they've ever done got chucked into a blender and then thrown against a wall. I reckon most of it sticks.

Love Moonjock, Wide Eyed, Rosie Oh, New Town Burnout, Today's Supernatural and Pulleys (first three are among their best tracks imo).
