Let's just focus on the positive parts of this-- Cortical, Causality and Feedback Loop are all pretty cool

The rest, well, I have little reason to listen to it ever so. Besides Holomovement

Previous one is better but I doubt you'll like it if you didn't enjoy this at all.

Well, matter of fact it think you're right, and that they definitely tried hard to stay away from the

Deathcore tag and ended up creating a messy, disjointed album. Hope they can put something better

together in the near future.

Holomovement and Casualty are still incredibly beautiful tracks though.

Surprised Cortical has about never come up in this thread. I seem to be the only one that finds it to be spectacular.

yeah causality is sweet and it happens to be the most exoplanet-y song here

these guys deff have potential. at this point they should drop the deathcore thing entirely. it sounds extremely awkward and out of place when its used here.

also, hate to say it for the 1000000th time, but they need to lay off the cynic worship

Thanks guys, that made me feel better!

Also, this damn production. Never really realized how much it suffocates the album until now :[

Truth. I unfortunately only came across Traced In Air very recently, and upon laying my ears on it for the first time, what instantly came to my mind was "holy shit, The Contortionist tried to make this but without letting go of the core!"

Agreed Omaha. Pretty much everything sounds out of place on the mix. It wouldn't absolutely drag the album down if the songwriting made any sense throughout but man, having a heavy as fuck bass tone and some djents here and there mixed with ambiance stuff and vocoder vocals can be fun if done once, or twice, as long as done properly. But a whole album relying on such a weird presentation, and such disjointed transitions... Nah.

My two cents
