It's interesting that Sam sounds completely different on every album and yet he chose the shittiest of his vocal styles to keep for 2+ albums

I don't really think it's a style so much as he just can't scream as good as he used to, or he just doesn't want to push his voice as hard. He had singing lessons around the recording of THAN, so maybe it wasn't sustainable.

I think it has a few of their best songs on there, particularly the softer ones. And Greg Puciato, I mean cmon. But this just doesn't do much for me at all.

An open letter to myself was pretty different and rad. But aside from that, that album was a transition album to what they are now. The songs on it lack substance.



I agree to the lyrics on HC and ruin being miles ahead of what they are now. Sam does need to get inspires by something real, real quick.
