you annoy me more than you offend me. i was just trying to see what your mindset was like, since i'm pretty sure you're more than smart enough to know youre a dick
|

If you keep acting this prudish no one will ever want to touch your vagina
|
| |
You usually articulate yourself pretty well but i see you turn into just as much of a little bitch as everyone else when you get attacked. i guess people just let you believe you were superior, for far too long
|
| |
also, not sure why you're getting offended. i'm not doing anything different from your silly little comments about wide-eyed kids who are uneducated when it comes to electronica

Don't really know why you've turned into a little bitch yourself, seeing as how no one's "attacking" me (what is this, playschool?) and I haven't had a go at anybody. Guess you caught a whiff of blood and got scared, I don't know
My entire point here is I feel like the vast majority of audiences relatively new to the genre approach electronic music in the strangest of ways. Like that comment about how if the lights and the cool effect weren't there we'd just have one guy to stare at. The thing I'm trying to illustrate here is it's a dance gig, you're there to dance. I just don't see why everything else would be needed, or why that seems to be some kind of selling point
But by all means, please get fired up

it's not that you ever directly attack people, it's the fact you speak as if everything you say is correct and no one else's opinion says anything. your explanation of what you meant there is pretty much what you said earlier except without the sarcastic disparaging tone. you got your point across but that doesn't seem to be enough for you unless you get the chance to belittle someone else's opinion first.
|
| |
and nothing to get fired up over, just bored at work and was curious if you do this on purpose or you just come across as a dick and you just don't care

And yet I've never alluded to that at all, you and perhaps everyone else seems to think so though. Do I care? No. Do you care? Apparently!

And I got my answer! so thank you, i guess.

I don't see why people give Skrillex shit for just pressing play on his Mac with Justice did the exact same thing.
|
| |
No, Justice have pre-recorded mixes
Skrillex plays music off of itunes (or maybe just finds tracks through youtube idk)

It takes a huge amount of skill to mix live, to be able to take two (or several) different tracks and mix them together without missing a beat, to turn these wildly different pieces of music into one unified track. Justice don't do that, they're not proper DJs. But to make the show worthwhile they construct mixes at home (or wherever) and play those live. Their job then consists of making sure everything runs smoothly, eq levels are fine and whatnot and waking up the crowd. Skrillex can't even do that, like he's literally just queued up a bunch of tracks on an itunes playlist and plays them one after the other. And in between each track, he stops..... and talks...... for minutes on end. This is supposed to be a dance gig!

dont forget he has to press his "YES OH MY GOD" button
|
| |
? do they improv the mixes or are these prearranged mixes they just put together?
|
| |
jsyk, Skrillex plays them through Ableton Live.
|
| |
oh nvm... i misread, thought you said justice mixes live
|
| |
@gabe is there a difference?
|
| |
Nooot really since he doesn't do much with it, it's just a note.

Ableton can be cool, but it's largely based on what you do with it. I hate certain aspects of it (i.e that it beat matches tracks once you pull them up, the interface, etc) but for running effects through it it supposedly does fine.
