In a sweater poorly knit, and an unsespecting smile,
little Moses drifts downstream in the Nile.
A fumbling reply, an awkward rigid laugh
and I'm carried helpless by my floating piece of shit

I hate I See Everything, I just don't see anything good about it. The lyrics are even bad.
On the other hand You and I in Unison is becoming one of my favorites. Go figure.

you and i in unison is amazing. definitely my favorite song on this record. i like i see everything too, but it's definitely one of their weaker tracks. jordan dreyer is a great lyricist, but he doesn't work as well in my opinion when he just describes a specific event in great detail like on that song and a couple others on this record like king park (although king park is awesome, just lyrically kind of clunky is some places). He's at his best when he just writes about his emotional reaction to some vague struggle.

Yea the lyrics in I See Everything are just so awkward, but for some reason his play by play description works in King Park even though theres a few awkward lines in that song too.
a Departure, Harder Harmonies, Bitter Fruit, and a Broken Jar are highlights in terms of lyrics.

absolutely, although i'd say you and i in unison is up there too. a broken jar is a perfect example of how he should write lyrics. and i agree about king park, it's probably the best of his story-based lyrics, i just prefer the more abstract ones personally.

I think King Park has awkward lyrics in spots but definitely not in I See Everything (except maybe at the very beginning. otherwise great).
