So after extensive deliberation with myself and many sleepless nights, I have finally come to the conclusion that this album rules.

I didn't like it that much to begin with, but it grew. Not a bad record at all.

Wait a sec, people think "Ghost Reveries" is a classic album??? To me, that's when Opeth started to lose the plot.
Although, don't get me wrong, I do appreciate that each Opeth album is musically unique and has its own vibe, unlike, say, Children of Bodom or Symphony X.

Ghost Reveries is one of Opeth's best albums are you nuts?

not even moderately enjoyable
there was about 1 moment of 1 song that i thought was up to opeth's standards but this is by far the most disappointing release of 2011 so far

i should really consult another music-related site. i know very few people who listen to good metal and even fewer who're up to date on new shit.
