He's played a huge part in recording the instruments on all the albums.
EDIT: I still don't see how this makes him fake, maybe stuckup but not fake. This Message Edited On 06.02.06

I refuse to listen to Lonely Day. By the way, did you know that Daron played bass on all but three of the Mezmerize songs? Nobody buy Daron's solo act, make him return to SOAD with his tail between his legs.
I sure wont. Lonely Day is the worst SOAD song i've ever heard. This Message Edited On 06.02.06

It's pulling a stairway by creating long ballads and trying to put good guitars to it (like in Lonely Day). The guitars were good, but as everybody said, the lyrics were lacking.
and then there's Lost in Hollywood....3 minutes of "smoking fags" and "Wave your hands like you just don't care" which is a line that is also overly used by a lot of dance freaks.

Well, maybe I'll have to eat my words a bit. I guess we can't definitively tell if he's fake, as I don't really know him. But it's pretty clear he's extremely cocky.

That's much too inclined towards the singles. Revenga is much better than B.Y.O.B., Question!, and Lost In Hollywood.

I like "Lost in Hollywood" for the most part, but the repetition near the end is a little annoying to me. The song could have done without it, making it the normal length of an SOAD song.
I like it back in the day when Daron would be the backup singers for "Aerials" and "Mr. Jack". Those sounded awesome with him as the background. And I think that's what a lot of us miss too.

I must admit that Revenga sounded really good. Different, but good. I thoroughly enjoyed that song. along with B.Y.O.B and Question!.
I mean, lately the songs that sound good from them anymore are the ones where either they're harmonizing together (spectacular) or Serj is singing (amazing)

I am with you. I hope this long hiatus will give System a chance to think about Daron. If I were Serj, I would tell Daron to calm down his ego or f**k off.

Exactly.
"Come join the cause, come join the cause! Who wants to come with me and come join the cause!"

Nah, you don't want to tell him to fuck off. Without Daron the band would completely flounder. But he does need to be put in check. Eventually, he'll take drum lessons and tell John to play the cowbell.

Daron leaves, there is no SoAD, he writes almost all the music.
|
| |
LMAO, I can see that.
So if Daron played the bass in most of mezmerize, what did the bass player do?
And John is an awesome drummer!!
|
| |
Daron shouldn't leave, he should go back to where he was in the first 3 albums (yes, that includes s/t. I actually liked it, but then again, I haven't heard all of it).

Nothing.

Well, Daron's lyrics have been almost complete crap lately. He is pretty good at guitar, but nothing special. He could be replaced.

Hey Viking, it almost sounds like you WANT Daron to take over. I'm not entirely against Daron. Actually, up until Mezmerize, I liked him. But he's starting to annoy me a little. and not just me too.

HE HAS TAKEN OVER.
|

well, I really doubt that many people will agree with you on that one. He's TRYING to, but Hypnotize proves that Serj is still very much the head of the band

Yeah, Daron's not a fantastic guitar player. But he certainly has a very original style, one that I don't think could be copied too easily. This Message Edited On 06.02.06

This is why I think he has taken over.
-Daron writes almost all the material
-He sings as much as the lead singer
-He recorded nearly all the bass guitar, and he plays regular guitar
-He has a bigger role in the band than anyone
