In a perfect world my friend. Since I'm trying to be more optimistic about things of late, each of the last 3 Killswitch records has been less shitty than the last...

It's such a good feeling knowing Times of Grace wasn't forgotten and they are working on a second album.

Not a huge fan of Killswitch and I need to rate their albums. But man I did loved this project when it came out and the new song revived my interest in them. I'm also pretty stoked on what Jesse said:

"There's definitely some of that sort of bluesy [stuff] — definitely a lot of blues, I should say. But it comes in different forms. I'd say there's a mixture of a touch of some stoner vibes going on there. There's definitely a touch of, like, I guess the term would be 'post metal,' atmospheric metal — guitars with a lot of delay and space with big, heavy bass and slow-moving stuff. There's more rock and roll, more indie rock. And there's still traces of the metal that we're known for here and there."

Also pretty cool they left the atmospheric stuff for the album and then they'll release an EP of some heavier songs they wrote while making the record.

Yeah it’s not going to be anything like Killswitch is it. Which is more interesting of course.

I completely dug this one though because it was metal

I should probably get around to actually checking this since they're finally coming out with a second album this week.

Edit: Big old nope.

I do hope some people love the new album. I mean with Jesse saying its some of his best work ever Id assume there are many fans who hear the same thing. I like its general vibe, very peaceful but less creative than i expected.

New album is a slight disappointment but still has a few really pretty moments on it. Mend You is the highlight for me for sure.
