it is implicit homophobia. perpetuating the use of a word whose only purpose (in america at least) is to denigrate homosexuals, regardless of what your intentions are by saying it, is homophobia. you are perpetuating the discrimination by allowing the word to continue to exist. if someone says the n word it's still racist, regardless of what your intentions are. furthermore, you are belittling the gay population by using the word as a means to bring down somebody else.

differences (which must be changed, in accordance to you) which only slows down the overall society's
progress towards accepting them as part of our own. in actual fact the argument you're putting forward
only serves to perpetuate their difference to people by implying to them that they're exclusive
folks who cannot be critiqued in a certain way
"in america at least" you guys are so political and fake that you dont care whether what you do
actually stops bad things happening or not, you just want to be morally righteous. when i see upper
class people chew on shitty slogans like "stop hunger" and "stop war" in america, when they're pretty

You're an idiot. If people stop saying homophobic things, it is more than likely the cause of an (impossible) cessation of homophobia; which would mean homophobia is effectively dead (this will never happen nor did I claim it ever will.
I am NOT demanding special treatment, nor did I even demand that people stop saying these words; I said that these words are hateful and homophobic.
