Mmhmm

All Cave In is good Cave In

But most Cave In sounds different than other Cave In, too

Beyond Hypothermia has a similar vibe, too, tho, if you are looking for more of this specifically

I love how wild and manic the vocals are. So many well-executed ideas and grooves here

Things I think hold this back somewhat is that the songs don't always feel like they justify their length (the album as a whole too) and the production often feels too flat. I can see this growing on me quite a lot though

I actually edited down some of the extra crap on this, like with the Segues and random spacey shit and whatnot, and gave a little boost to the volume. I always had to drastically change the volume when I had it playing with other stuff and it got annoying once something else came on, especially if I was on earbuds

I guess technically it shouldn't be a 5 for all that, but the actual music here is awesome, so I still love it

They really never did another record this good. I don't dislike all the space rock stuff they do now, they just did this with hunger and energy.

Edit: My bad, Jupiter is nuts too.

I blind bought this at a pawn shop while they were having a sale and it's gotta be the best 10 cents or whatever I've ever spent

the only problem with this is not having any Caleb vocals. such a shame, the live versions of shit like Juggernaut with him screaming were unbelievable

they’re there, just not as low-sounding as he got over the years.
