This album is WAY above average not only for the band themselves, but the entire genre/scene. This band continues to make massive improvements to their style and sound that others will try to emulate this record for the next 2-3 years. They've proven that they have the complete metal package: a polarizing lead singer, bone crushing riffs and drums, the guest vocals do tremendous work to give the songs a contrast, and for once in their career the lyrics mean something and bring emotional weight to the sonic onslaught. They may have retarded haircuts and an annoying, easy-to-hate fanbase but this record stands on it's own as one of the years best.
