Well, I've gotten to where I like "F#A# Infinity" quite a lot actually. I guess, I need to get to listening to this more, now.

One of the best post rock albums ever created. So goddamn vast and dynamic it's such a behemoth of an album. These 87 minutes fly by so fast.

F#A# Infinity is marginally better

Flows better maybe but where this lacks the flow of F#A# this makes up for in one holy shit moment after the other.

It doesn't offer a climax, but it also doesn't have the same motif playing for 5 minutes without much change either...

This is more infuriating though.

There are tons of climaxes on here and not sure what you mean by the second part.

I meant F#A# doesn't offer much of a climax. As for the second bit, there are parts that play the same thing over and over again but only progressively get louder. That would be alright if it didn't last so long. That's essentially how i feel about Static

Oh nevermind I didn't know you were talking about F#A# for the second bit. But man if the intense drone string part in Static isn't a climax to you idk what could ever be. I mean, it take away to get there but the pay off is amazing. And terrifying.

There's just something that doesn't sit right.

Lavishing praise on a child's painting which you know they've fluked.

So wait: Are you saying this album is a fluke?? Cause they made two amazing albums before this so that would be an odd claim lol

Nah it was a broad analogous type thing.

This just lacks a bit of meat on the bones, it's all flight of pretension without the testes.

Don't get me wrong I love it though.

Haha ok. I can instantly get over the pretty obvious pretension. This as a whole is a lot more engaging to me because it's a lot less subtle and goes bigger. Hits harder emotionally too.

I can't think of any killer lines on this one that really hit home.

The flags are dead at the top of their poles.

Blaize Baileys rant at the judge.

They don't sleep on the beach anymore doesn't do it for me like them previous two.

Highlights for me are the beginning and end of Storm, that big build up in Static, the whole last half of Sleep, and the last five minutes of Antennas. Off the top of my head, but I honestly love this whole thing from beginning to end. Would make my top 10 definitely.
