The debut is fine and it's got some strong songs but it wouldn't crack my top 3. It managed to become the one Korn it's okay to like but they made better imo. Namely LiP right away lol. And FtL. And Issues. And this. 🤷🏻♂️
Speaking of which, how good is I'm Hiding ugh. They made some mighty thick apocalyptic paranoid nu-metal in this one

This album to me always sounded like Korn trying (and failing) to keep up with all the soaring chorus, big production nu metal bands that came in their wake. Unfortunately Korn kinda sound better the filthier the groove is (see s/t and LiP); and diminishing returns on the lyrical and songwriting side mean that I almost never come back to this when I can just listen to one of the first four instead.
