I make roadtrips all the time, sometimes to Georgia for concerts since most of the time bands never go to Florida. Annoying but fun in the end.

I have to drive 15 minutes.... haha

5 hours is nothing, it'll be worth it
Trust me, I would if I could. My parents would rather die than let me go to a hardcore show alone and no one would accompany me.

A fellow Floridian? Where in Florida do you live?

Am I not the only one here who has trouble finding someone to accompany them to metal shows?
My friends are spending $100 (AUS$) to see John Mayer, while i'm spending $80 to see both Converge/Genghis Tron and BtBaM.
Mine beats theirs, even if I have to go it alone.

haha, similar situation for me, although it's not so much not being able to find someone as it is finding them and then planning it out in time. Also if you're an AUS user you should be seeing DEP in May as well.

isnt the exchange rate like 1 aus dollar = US 90 Cents or something? i know they gotta cross an ocean
but that's fucking pricey for two metalcore shows. I'm seeing converge/coalesce for 15 bucks and the
last time I went to a btbam show it was like 12 bucks at the door.

They're coming to Aus? I wasn't even aware of that.
Thanks, you've saved me the possible heart break of missing them haha.

Yeah I think atm it's about 78-86 cents. The music economy in Australia is ridiculous, even out our highest rate we still pay close to double what the US does for albums etc.

And yes that's the exchange rate.
I guess bands coming to Australia bump the price right up, due to travelling costs and whatever.
Local bands are around that same 15 dollar mark though.
Still, very jealous if you got to see those at that price.

The cost of albums here is a bit of a joke.
Makes loving music pretty hard on the wallet.

well, given that's about 25 cents more than what I spend per gallon of gas, i'll stay in LA and you can have fun with your irukandji and king brown snakes

Amazing. Listened to it 10x times. Dillinger Escape Plan is one of the best bands ever. Rvery dillinger music is a genuine artistic effort in terms of lyrics, concepts, rhythms. They are GODS.

Well Miss Machine is still my favorite album. This for me is at most a 4 or a grower. I guess u guys really are digging Greg's clean vocals on like almost every track.
