"Resurrection and Final Exit are FF's best 'softer' tracks, both are so epic." [2] straight facts
"FF did the shugg before shugg did it" - Damn, I mean maybe I guess. I love them both so much. Shug and FF are my true loves < 3

the first 4 tracks are the best opening run of songs on an album that ive heard in metal. the whole albums amazing, but those first 4 just consistently blow me always on relistens.

Bro Burton yelling "THE PURIST NON-CONFORMIST JADED SUBHUMAN TERRORIST" over that plonky double bass is goofy as heck

I hate this late 90s signature drum sound and I do think it is mostly a rehash of Demanufacture, even though not a bad one...

it's 100% a slightly more glossy rehash of 'Demanufacture'...about half of it is still as good as 'Demanufacture' which isn't bad going
I'd say at least five tracks on 'Demanufacture' are better than ANY included here, certainly the first three on that album, plus 'Flashpoint'/'Hunter-Killer' is an excellent 1-2 gut punch. It's weird that 'New Breed' is almost a one off techno techno tune in their catalogue...if anything Slipknot came closer to repeating that song's style (minus the overt techno influence). I'm not that into the 'angelic Burton' slow atmospheric tunes really but the two that close that album sort of perfect the blueprint at the first attempt also.
