Finally got this in the mail. Really love the art in the booklet even if it's not too complex. Lyrics are interesting too.

So is this technically a concept album, sorta like Colors, or is it just a straight up album?

Well its really not aside from the whole "one frickin long song" idea....Lyrically I see no connections, I mean I see more lyrical connectivity on The Great Misdirect

Where can I find the lyrics of the songs?

I haven't really analyzed the lyrics thoroughly but after skimming them they seem to be about humankind falling to an other-worldly extra-terrestrial race. It's a lot more complex than that obviously but that's the gist of it.

Having a degree in planning and also an understanding in development layout and such, I would say the album title goes hand in hand with the artwork.

At first, I really care for this album. However, I find that like it a little more each time. Unlike Alaska and Colors this one took me a few listens. "Disease, Injury, Madness" and "Desert of Song" are my favorite so far. The Bungle influence is quite blatant, but it does work in the song. As said in the review, the focus on songwriting seems to be better.

HA! =p

The Bungle influence is quite blatant,

I wouldn't go so far to say it's blatant, but it's definitely present in D,I,M, and Fossil Genera. This is a grower though, I almost want to say this is their best album but I need more time to decide.

Tyler, do you think I should give this a chance at all, or do you think I'll just as pissed off as I was by the samples?
