Haha yeah I put that hat up on the shelf with the contract my mates made me sign to eat the hat if the album wasn't awesome. They all took the piss out of me and said the album was shit anyway!
And Nag you're probably right but I can listen to this album all the way through without skipping and I enjoy most of the songs immensely, plus put that with the fact they made such an album against such terrifying odds and that makes a classic for me

seriously when i look back ten years from now this will probably be one of the defining musical moments of my childhood (since i've only been into music for a couple years)--- my favorite band as a kid reforming and putting out a fantastic album

One of the few instances in my life where a band lived up to long awaited and high expectations. Album is amazing.

I don't like how duvall can't sync well wil cantrell's voice live.

I don't think this measures up to any of the other AiC albums. A Looking In View is nice, but songs like Your Decision completely bore me. Luckily they kept their bluesy atmospheric sound... btw, I don't fault Duvall at all, he is very talented. I just don't get the same feeling listening to these songs as I did with Jar of Flies, Dirt, and Facelift.
Though I do agree that Dirt has overly depressing songs and what makes it classic are the amount of good songs. Jar of Flies and Facelift are much more consistent.
This album was not up to expectations though I did enjoy the first two singles - Check My Brain (decent) and Looking in View (best song on album).
