The new album is as good as Travels

New album is so good. Going to be playing it a lot over next week I think. Not quite as good as travels IMO, but its very very close.

Yes potato, get on it now One of the songs cuts out abruptly with 1 minute left which is a shame as it is just building up , but apart from that the leak is solid.

Yeah its the very last heavy track too and one of the longest build ups so its an anti climax for sure lol, after that is 4 acoustics, which I think some people will knock the rating down a bit as they aren't particularly strong but I liked them, his clean voice is pleasant.



I am just happy I heard the album so early, I can wait to hear the other minute when I buy the album on release day.

Defeater did that on purpose, pay attention to the lyrics and listen for the faint train sound in the background right before it cuts off. Totally on purpose.

Narsh thats what I thought too at first seeing as defeater puts a lot of thought into their music and it seemed like it could have been the case! but why is he mid sentance? I really dont hear the train sound...

yeah i mean its also hilarious he gets nailed mid sentence...don't think off it that way tho cause it will deff take away from the masterpiece that is white oak doors hahah all in all this albums slightly better then travels...and as for the acoustic tracks they're pretty well done, need to listen to them more but on the first listen i remembering wishing if only more of the emotion from the screams transferred into the singing.

Album is good but not as good as Travels so far to me. However I need to be able to read the lyrics and listen a few more times, so at this time my opinion is invalid even to me.

haha yea until i read the lyrics i didnt even realize his wife got killed which made me feel so stupid, and the more u listen the more u realize how fantastic the vocals are this time...they literally shake and quiver with emotion, and crack underneath the weight of the words..

I have understood most of the lyrics from my second listen, but still a few words here and there are muddled for me.



And now I know that is the ending I thought it was the first time of the track, its annoying me... Seems a shame to end so suddenly but thats just personal preference and me being picky. Still white oak doors is such a good song regardless.

It wouldn't surprise me if it gets more praise than travels. If travels wasn't so special to me I would probably prefer it too.
