no matter what anyone says on religion, it will always come off as ignorant and presumptous. best thing is to not talk about it. just look at what it represents and dictates, and forget that some people are extremists.

well, see, to me it represents people's fear of not mattering and dictates far too much. but you're right, it's all futile in the end, to the point that nowadays i have no problem with religion as such and only take offence at idiots; that is, people who imply i'm stupid because i don't 'understand god' etc. etc. like i said, this album represents the positive side of religion, so yeah, hurray for mewithoutyou

i used to have an elitist pov, but it's just stupid and ignorant. we need to embrace the fact that no one knows for sure, any who claim they know the answer are fools. also, no need to say 'etc' twice, lol

"at least half the world is below average intelligence." haha that actually makes no sense. if you took half the world they would be exactly AT the average intelligence

Btw, forverendeared you have fantastic taste in music.
thanks, it's sputnikmusic's doing really.

More religious debate on Sputnik...it's pointless to take a definitive stance, really.

This album rules and this >>Or perhaps its that we like breathtaking lyrics with unparallelled imagery, on top of well orchestrated music that blends many different instruments tastefully and whimsically.

Lyrics are a major selling point for me and I am thus far blown away

The use of the word "Allah" one this record makes it totally theistic and spiritual and stuff, but I see nothing overtly Christian about this album, or this band. Never have, never will.

Also, after re-listening I realized that this is really close to being an indie masterpiece, held back by a few not-so-amazing-but-still-great songs.

Song was played at a church I visited in Northern California, caused an uproar with the more conservative types because the word "Allah" was used.

Well this album is drenched in religious lyricism, not to say thats it's only medium but if you can't hear it buy a pair of ears.
